The main challenge is to optimize production site operations in order to minimize the number of containers needed to ensure supplies, while minimizing unused production intervals. All this in a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) logic. This requires to:

  • Design in synergy production, customer supply, container fleet and container transportation to customer sites;
  • Prioritize the most critical operations to maximize production site throughput, taking into account current manufacturing orders;
  • Efficiently manage stock capacities and container volume and cost constraints;
  • Optimize the management of loading docks and container fleets to streamline shipments.
